Music Video – Hurt by Johnny Cash
The first music video I am analyzing is the video for Hurt
by Johnny Cash. To start off, the song and video represent a tone that makes
people feel emotional; to reflect on life. The artist of the song, Johnny Cash,
is present in the video, making the viewers of the video see him as a man full
of sadness. He appears in several different spots: be it a chair, table and
other parts of the room the video is taking place. The editing of the video helps
it to switch to Johnny Cash in the present to showing footage of him when he
was young in his career. The lyrics speak for what the story is that you are following
for the video. Like plenty of other music videos,
